This report presents results of the Annual Economic Survey of Federal Gulf Shrimp Permit Holders for the calendar year 2012. The report provides fishermen, fishery managers, other constituents, and the public with an overview of the financial and economic health of the federal Gulf of Mexico shrimp fishery. The commercial shrimp fishery in the Gulf of Mexico is one of the most economically important fisheries in the Southeast region.
