Under s.302 of the Local Government Act 1919, premises used as Barbers' shops were required to have a license according to Ordinance no 62. This volume acted as a receipt book and provided the following information: License No., Name of Licensee, Situation of Premises, Description of Premises, Number of Employees, Number of Chairs, Receipt No., Register No. and Expiry date. The volume comprises one separate bound volume, with duplicate receipts.
