资源简介:
Endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) plays a crucial role in maintaining endothelial cell function and preventing atherosclerosis. Tetrahydrocannabinol is a metabolite that has better bioactivity than curcumin. This study investigated the effect of the PI3K/AKTpathway on eNOS expression and NO production induced by tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. The findings reveal that both PI3Kand AKT are essential for THC-induced eNOS phosphorylation and subsequent NO production. Overall design: Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVECs) were cultured in EGM-2 medium and treated with either vehicle (DMSO) or tetrahydrocurcumin (THC) at concentrations of 2.5, and 5 µM for 24 hours.
