Patient Survey Dataset for Evaluating Doctor–Patient Communication Quality in Primary Healthcare across the Visegrad Group Countries

The dataset contains anonymized survey responses from 3,119 patients of primary and outpatient healthcare facilities in the four Visegrad Group countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia.The data were collected between January and April 2024 as part of a broader research project examining the quality of healthcare in outpatient and inpatient medical facilities. The purpose of the survey was to evaluate the quality of communication between patients and healthcare professionals and to determine how this communication contributes to the effectiveness of primary healthcare.The dataset supports the implementation and validation of a fuzzy model for evaluating doctor–patient communication. The model combines patients’ individual experiences with regional expert assessments and produces a regional-level evaluation of primary healthcare effectiveness in relation to communication quality.Each row in the main dataset represents one anonymized respondent. The dataset contains respondents’ original assessments, intermediate group-level scores, normalized fuzzy membership values, regional information, and an integral indicator of the respondent’s communication experience.
