Lactobacillus paracasei is an important species of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) used for cheese and yogurt fermentation. Lactobacillus paracasei TCS, an industrial strain mainly used for yogurt production, has the good capacity of high-diacetyl productivity, which could improve the flavor of yogurt. The genome of Lactobacillus paracasei TCS, was completely sequenced and compared against the other three ATCC collection strains of the same subspecies.
