This dataset provides daily sea-ice drift vectors derived from brightness temperature observations acquired by the AMSR-E and AMSR2 microwave radiometers onboard Earth-observing satellites. Sea-ice drift is estimated using the Maximum Cross-Correlation (MCC) method applied to sequential brightness temperature images separated by 24 hours. A 60 x 60 km template window is used for the correlation calculations. The dataset covers all sea-ice regions in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Drift vectors are gridded at 60 km intervals on a polar stereographic projection.
