the sequenced mitogenomes of Diaporthe phytopathogens

The genus Diaporthe (Phomopsis) belongs in the Diaporthaceae family, within the Diaporthales order, Diaporthomycetidae class, Sordariomycetes phylum, and Ascomycota kingdom, which has been discovered in a wide geographic distribution and comprising pathogens, endophytes, and saprobes on a wide variety of host plants. The aims of the study were to characterize the mitogenome contents, structures and organizations of Diaporthe species, and to explores the diversity of mitogenomes among several species of Diaporthe. This comparative analysis of Diaporthe mitogenomes will contribute to a deeper understanding of genetic evolution and species differentiation within the Diaporthe genus.
