To assess the transcriptional capacity of the Human herpesvirus 3 (HHV3), total RNA was isolated from from HHV3 infected MRC-5 (human lung fibroblast) cells and reverse transcribed using SuperScript IV using oligo(dT) primers for either the poly(A)-selected fraction or CAP-selected fraction. cDNAs were sequenced using the Oxford Nanopore’s MinION cDNA sequencing platform.
