LCIAnalyzer reports of a study on the optimization of the package layout of steering racks using the PBF-LB/M process

As part of a study, the EOSINT M280 PBF-LB/M by manufacturer EOS GmbH was used to analyze five different variants of installation space utilization as part of a material flow-based LCA (software: Umberto LCA+, time frame: Cradle-to-Gate, LCIA method: ReCiPe(H)-Midpoint, material used: AlSi10Mg) were compared with each other. The digital tool of the LCIAnalyzer allows an automated evaluation of the hotspots within the process chain as well as the individual process steps. All results are to be multiplied by a factor of 0.001 to achieve the functional unit given above.
