The mechanisms by which oncolytic vaccine strains of measles virus exert their tumor selectivity are not well elucidated. The goal of this study is to compare the gene expression profiles of MV-resistant MSC cell line (hTERT) and MV-susceptible MSC cell line (5H) before and after infection with MV (24 hours post infection) Through RNA-seq we were able to identify genes that are potentially contribute to the resistant phenotype of hTERT cells compared to their malignant counterparts, 5H cells. hTERT cells and 5H cells were either mock-infected or infected with MV at the muliplicity (MOI of 1.0). 24hours post infection, RNA was extracted by the TriZol method according to manufacturer's instructions.
