Leading motivations of South Korean tourists to visit Japan 2023

According to a survey conducted in the departure lobbies of Japanese airports and seaports throughout 2023, for over 83 percent of South Korean tourists, eating Japanese food was one of the main motivations to come to Japan. Japanese cuisine was followed in popularity by shopping, which was mentioned by most respondents.
