Impact of intermittent preventive treatment for malaria in pregnancy with sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine, dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine, and their combination on malaria burden in infants: A randomized controlled trial

This trial evaluated malaria and growth outcomes in infants born to mothers receiving different malaria prevention regimens during pregnancy. Despite reducing maternal malaria, dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine regimens did not lower infant malaria incidence and were associated with transient early-life growth deficits.
