Material from PhD thesis: Chapter 6 PRS Supplementary Files

This dataset contains supplemental material as part of a PhD thesis: Identification of Shared Genetic Risk Loci between Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy and Later-Life Cardiovascular Disease. The material supports Chapter 6: Genetic Dissection of Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS) for Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Following Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy (HDP), which focuses on analysing existing PRS related to CVD from the PGS Catalog and examining whether they differ significantly between HDP-CAD (coronary artery disease) groups.
It includes details of 1,022 CVD PRS from the PGS Catalog as of 3 January 2024, along with a subset of female-specific PRS. The dataset contains results comparing the number of PRS that matched with at least 75% of genetic variants in the BHS population. It also includes PRS that remained significant after bootstrapping 95% confidence intervals from Models 1 and 2 following ridge regression.
ANOVA results assess PRS differences across HDP-CAD categories before and after adjustment for multiple testing, while logistic regression summary statistics are provided for models with and without HDP, analysing their association with CAD. These analyses contribute to understanding the genetic risk factors linking HDP and later-life CVD, emphasising PRS stratification, sex-specific effects, and statistical significance.
