With the aim of identifying the genes in response to salt and the molecular mechanisms of salt tolerance in Betula halophile, we constructed the transcriptome libraries from the leaves of wild type Betula halophile plants and plants with salt treatment. The aims were to detect salt responsive genes from Betula halophile and explore their roles in response to salt stress.
