morphology of aortic dissection

In this manuscript, the aortic morphology of 112 acute type B aortic dissection (aTBAD) patients and 112 non-aortic disease patients was analyzed via three-dimensional computed tomography imaging. The aortic morphological parameters measured included diameter, length, angulation, tortuosity and aortic arch Myla classification. Risk prediction models were developed to identify the specific geometric risk factors associated with aTBAD. Based on the data, we conclude that incremental aortic arch angulation, tortuosity and type Ⅲ arch configuration could be geometric risk factors that enhance the incidence of aTBAD besides the enlargement of the ascending aorta and aortic arch.
