The rocket frog (Anomaloglossus baeobatrachus) is a species of frog in the family Aromobatidae. It is found in northern Brazil south to Manaus, French Guiana, and Suriname and inhabits forest leaf-litter (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of an adult male individual from French Guiana was procured by Mathieu Chouteau and Antoine Fouquet to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
