TitleClinical monocular visual acuity defocus curve dataset for enhanced monofocal intraocular lenses DescriptionThis dataset contains anonymized clinical data of monocular distance-corrected visual acuity (VA) measured across defocus levels in eyes implanted with four enhanced monofocal intraocular lenses (IOLs): Tecnis Eyhance, RayOne EMV, ISOPure, and enVista Aspire. Visual acuity was recorded in logMAR units under photopic conditions using ETDRS charts, with distance correction in place. Defocus curves were obtained by adding spherical lenses from -2.50 diopters (D) to +1.00 D in 0.50 D steps. Each row in the dataset corresponds to a single VA measurement at a specific defocus level for a given eye. The dataset is organized into four separate sheets, each corresponding to one intraocular lens model. The name of each sheet identifies the IOL type. Variables included: ID: anonymized identifier for each eye/patient Defocus_D: defocus level in diopters (range: -2.50 to +1.00, step: 0.50 D) VA_logMAR: visual acuity in logMAR units NotesDefocus curves were obtained monocularly following subjective refraction using a standardized protocol. A +0.25 D lens was added to compensate for the 4 m testing distance.
