T. sakaeratensis was isolated from soil collected in Thailand (Yuzo Yamada, et al. 2008). This bacterium is able to grow and catabolize glucose at glucose 30%. To acquire new enzymes and metabolic systems practicable in high sugar concentration and to achieve a model system to comprehend environmental responses of AAB, we have been performing comparative genome, transcriptome and proteome analyses.
