资源简介:
This research projects aims to characterise the molecular function of MAVS from peroxisomes. MAVS is an essential adaptor molecule in type I IFN signalling, which takes place in mitochondria. Currently, MAVS has been found to reside in peroxisomes, which emerges to be another anti-viral platform. MAVS has known to form functional aggregates to transmit signals for inducing type I IFN. Considering the small size of peroxisomes, we doubt whether peroxisomal MAVS also forms aggregates. Also, whether MAVS induces type I IFN from peroxisome remains unclear. We have determined that peroxisomal MAVS induce type I IFN expression.
