HDAC1 regulates effector CD8+ T cell differentiation during chronic viral infection

Hdac1 is a known epigenetic regulator of gene expression. The aim of this study is to investigate whether Hdac1 influences CD8+ T cell fate during chronic infection. We demonstrate that the genetic ablation of Hdac1 reduces the generation of Tex-Int cells Gzmb-Cre; Rosa26-lsl-GFP; Hdac1 wild-type or floxed mice were directly infected with LCMV Clone 13. On day 8 post-infection, Gp33 tetramer-positive cells were sorted into three populations based on surface markers Cx3cr1 and Slamf6 for ATAC-seq analysis.
