Leptotrichia sp. SK-5. Leptotrichia strain:SK-5

Leptotrichia is one of four genera within the family Leptotrichiaceae. Leptotrichia species are facultative anaerobic/anaerobic Gram-negative, non-motile, non-sporulating, and large fusiform bacilli. Leptotrichia species are found mostly in the oral cavity and some other parts of the human body and in animals. Valid species include L. buccalis,, L. hofstadii, L. honkongensis, L. shahii, L. trevisanii, and L. wadei. In this study, a novel Leptotrichia, designated SK-5T, was isolated from saliva of healthy human.
