Cellulomonas sp. ATA003 Genome sequencing

Seed endophytes are microorganisms, primarily bacteria and fungi that actively colonize all the endospheric compartments of seed, providing benefits to host plants such as growth-promoting activities in plants, such as seed germination, growth support, nutrient supply, stimulation of metabolite production, and resistance against biotic and abiotic stresses. We extract seed endophytic bacteria and identify new bacterial species. Cellulomonas sp. strain ATA003 was isolated from seeds of endemic cactus Maihueniopsis domeykoensis collected in the Atacama Desert, Chile, under extrem environmental conditions.
