Sample data for a simple weather generator that converts statistical information from downscaled global climate models to 24-hr precipitation input for hydrological models

Sample rain gauge records used for demonstrations in https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-2026-351. The data is stored in native R-binary format '.rda', contain esd-station object (see DOI:10.6084/m9.figshare.1160493.v18) and can be loaded into R with 'load()'. The source of one data set is the ECA&D (https://www.ecad.eu/dailydata/) and the other GHCND (https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/products/land-based-station/global-historical-climatology-network-daily).
