收藏资源简介:
V. cholerae is a non-invasive enteric pathogen that causes secretory diarrhoea, in the small intestine, primarily through the production and action of cholera toxin. Cholera toxin is a potent enterotoxin responsible for the profuse watery diarrhoea, known as ‘rice stool’, characteristic of cholera. Household contacts are at a 100 times higher risk of developing a cholera infection than the general population. This study aims to compare the genetic relatedness of Vibrio cholerae isolates within and between cholera patients households in Bangladesh. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
