RNAseq profiling of Col-0 and jaz1 mutant inoculated by fungus Alternaria alternata in Arabidopsis

To elucidate the specific role of jaz1 in EX1-dependent 1O2 response, researchers employed RNA-seq technology to analyze the expression patterns of 1O2-responsive genes in Col-0 and jaz1 mutant plants following inoculation with Alternaria alternata. Methods: RNA-seq libraries were sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq X Ten platform following standard Illumina protocols. Overall Design: At least three 3-week-old Col-0 or jaz1 mutant plants were inoculated with 3mm PDA plugs containing Alternaria alternata. Two rosette leaves were harvested from each plant at 0, 6, and 12 hours post-inoculation and immediately stored in liquid nitrogen. Three independent replicates were performed.
