gDNA sequencing of few members of nasuta-albomicans complex of Drosophila

This project contains whole-genome raw read sequences from the recently diverged Drosophila nasuta nasuta and Drosophila nasuta albomicans. D. n. nasuta (2n = 8) and D. n. albomicans (2n = 6) are the two chromosomal cross-fertile races belonging to nasuta subgroup of immigrans species group of Drosophila. Cytoraces, the fertile laboratory lineages produced by the combinatorial crossing of varying strains of these chromosomal races offer a good opportunity to study early stages species divergence. These Cytoraces along with the parental races are referred to as the nasuta- albomicans complex (NAC) of Drosophila.
