"Use of Information and Communication Technology in the Privat Sector, 1999"

Around December 1999 and in the beginning of the year 2000 Statistics Norway conducted for the first time a survey on the use of ICT in the private sector, The survey covers around 5000 private enterprises. The Norwegian authorities want to stimulate the business sector by facilitating the use of electronic trade and business. Thus the survey is partly financed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The survey is also based on a Nordic cooperation and is aimed at giving comparable results with the other Nordic countries.

The questions can be divides into the following categories:
