Change Management Practices, Commitment to Change, and Employee Engagement: Survey Evidence from Private Universities of Rajasthan

This research study examined how change management practices influenced employee engagement in selected private universities of Rajasthan, India. The study focused on key dimensions of change management such as readiness for change, employee participation in the change process, effectiveness of change-related communication, leadership support, and overall change management practices. It also assessed the mediating role of employee commitment to change in strengthening engagement outcomes. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from 400 respondents across 50 private universities. Responses were recorded on a five-point Likert scale and included demographic and professional details such as gender, age group, designation, department, work experience, and nature of work. The study adopted a quantitative cross-sectional design and the dataset supported advanced analysis using PLS-SEM to test direct and indirect relationships among constructs. The research provided useful evidence for improving institutional change implementation through stronger communication, participation, and leadership support.
