Screening of potential materials to be used as a phase change material (PCM) for high temperature application

This data set corresponds to a collection of potential materials and their main thermophysical properties, which can be used as phase change materials (PCM) in high temperature applications. Data collection was carried out by consulting the scientific literature, commercial PCMs data sheets, and new materials were also developed with the FactSage thermodynamic software. The properties listed in the data set are: melting temperature, melting enthalpy, heat capacity in solid and liquid state, density in solid and liquid state, thermal conductivity, corrosion rate, degradation temperature, hazard level, price, and material drawbacks.
