# Data from “Variable spatiotemporal ungulate behavioral response to predation risk”---## Description of the data and file structureThe data files are spatial data in the form of raster files (TIF) used as covariates in habitat suitability and movement models for elk and brown bear. Files named as #YEAR#_P, #YEAR#_S, and #YEAR#_A are NDVI files for each year-season combination. These are cloud-free composites generated for each season using Google Earth Engine and Landsat 8 data [code to generate these composites is provided]. The files named as elevation, slope, aspect, and SSI (site severity index) were generated from a 30-m digital elevation model in ArcGIS.The code files are either program R code for data formatting, habitat suitability and movement models, and plots for the associated manuscript, or text (.txt) files for the Google Earth Engine code to create NDVI composite images.## Sharing/Access informationThis data is currently private for peer review. See associated manuscript for information about how data was derived.## Code/SoftwareMany packages will be required within program R. Please install any packages that are required within the code to run code.Order that code should be run:NDVI:Use the Google Earth Engine coding environment to run files NDVI_GEE_H, NDVI_GEE_P, and NDVI_GEE_S. You will have to change the dates for each year processed. This is not necessary to run the following code, as the NDVI data files for each season-year are provided.Analysis:1. Clean up bear data, generate random points, and extract raster data for bear GPS points: bear_risk_gpsdata.R2. Clean up elk data, generate random points: elk_risk_gpsdata.R3. Run bear habitat models and create projected suitability rasters: bear_risk_models_V3.R4. Determine bear active times and overlaps in diel activity: bearandelk_time_V3.R5. Extract raster data for each elk GPS point (including seasonal yearly NDVI, seasonal bear suitability, and bear time category): elk_suit_dataprep.R6. Create movement data for elk: elk_movement_dataprep_V2.R7. Run elk habitat suitability models: elk_suit_risk_models_V6.R8. Run elk movement models: elk_movement_models_V2.RCreate plots:1.
