Micellar catalysis enables the efficient fixation of CO2 and CS2 into epoxides and aziridines under mild, metal-free aqueous conditions. Integrated NMR, DFT, and COSMO-RS studies reveal how surfactants and amines govern reactant localization and gas transport at the micelle interface. This work provides mechanistic insight into gas-liquid reactions in water and broadens the scope of sustainable carbon-capture and utilization chemistry.
