资源简介:
This project aims to analyze antimicrobial resistance patterns in Klebsiella pneumoniae, with a focus on carbapenem resistance and genotype–phenotype relationships. Klebsiella pneumoniae is a major cause of healthcare-associated infections and a priority pathogen due to its capacity to acquire extended-spectrum beta-lactamase and carbapenemase-mediated resistance. Using AMR Register surveillance datasets, we will characterize phenotypic resistance to clinically important antibiotics and assess the distribution of carbapenem resistance patterns across available countries, regions, and years. Where genotype data are available, we will examine key resistance determinants associated with carbapenem resistance, including carbapenemase genes and related beta-lactam resistance mechanisms. The analysis will generate descriptive summaries, temporal trends, and genotype–phenotype comparisons to identify patterns of emerging or persistent resistance. Findings will help inform antimicrobial stewardship by highlighting resistance profiles relevant to empiric treatment decisions and public health surveillance. This work is intended to support data-driven AMR surveillance, strengthen interpretation of resistance trends, and contribute evidence that may guide infection prevention, stewardship strategies, and future genomic surveillance priorities.
