Reponses of Galleria mellonella hemocytes to Beauveria bassiana

Insect cellular immunue plays an important role in recognition and eliminating the intruding entomopathogenic fungi. The genome-wide exprssion analysis involved in the cellular responses was analyzed by using high throughput sequencing (RNA-Seq). Our transcriptional profiles revealed that numerous differentially expressed genes (DEGs), of which involved in metabolism, immune system, cellular processing and so on, were significantly involved in the responses of G. mellonnella hemocytes. Overall design: Total RNA was obtained from G. mellonella hemocytes challenged by B. bassiana at different time-points. Comparison were performed between the indicated time-point and control group (without infection by fungus) .
