Vegetative Cover
收藏资源简介:
This photo provides a view of the seeding activities along the northern boundary of the site, captured on October 12, 2023. This stage of the restoration process is a critical step toward re-establishing natural vegetation and ensuring long-term environmental stability. The returning vegetative cover is not only essential for enhancing the aesthetic and ecological value of the site but also plays a vital role in meeting the site’s stormwater management goals. By introducing native grasses and other plant species, the seeding efforts contribute to improved soil retention, reduced erosion, and the natural filtration of stormwater runoff. These measures are integral to mitigating the impacts of stormwater on the surrounding environment, preventing sedimentation, and promoting groundwater recharge. The reintroduction of vegetation also supports local biodiversity, providing habitat for wildlife and helping to stabilize the site for future land use.
