The objective of this study was to assess SOC changes after conversion of native grasslands to cropland (soybeans/cover crops under no-tillage) and forestry (Eucalyptus). Eight representative sites in this biome were selected for soil sampling. Soil sampling was conducted in dug pits to 30 cm depth (30 cm wide x 30 cm long x 40 cm depth). Five or six subsamples were obtained, spaced by 50 m at each site, and composited.
