An open-source in vivo dynamic measurement and analysis device for mechanical properties and characterizations of human skin

In this work, we present an open-source in vivo dynamic measurement and analysis device for mechanical properties and characterizations of human skin. The device can measure high-frequency dynamic responses by driving a voice coil motor in sinusoidal linear motion, which transfers to the probes via a clamping mechanism. Force and displacement sensors capture stress-strain data, enabling DMA-like periodic tensile tests to characterize the material's tangential stress-strain behavior. These files include the parts designed for this specific instrument that can be manufactured and 3D-printed.
