fhod3 deficiency leads to cardiomyopathy in hESC-CMs

we generated a FHOD3 knockout (FHOD3-/-) human embryonic stem cell (hESC) cell line (H9) by CRISPR/Cas9 system and differentiate it into cardiomyocytes to elucidate the mechanism of cardiomyopathy and HF caused by FHOD3 deficiency. Our study found that FHOD3-deficient hPSC-CMs presented sarcomere disorganization and degradation. In addtion, impaired calcium homeostasis aggravated the pathogenesis of myocardial dysfunction and HF.
