Mercury concentrations, d13C and d15N values in beaks of the giant warty squid Moroteuthopsis longimana (Southern Ocean)

This dataset includes mercury concentrations (Hg), d13C and d15N values measured in lower beaks (n=50) of the giant warty squid Moroteuthopsis longimana collected from the diet of wandering albatross Diomedea exulans chicks at Bird Island (South Georgia) in 1976, 1984, 1995, 2006 and 2016. Furthermore, it includes the size (Lower Rostral Length, LRL in mm), the estimated mantle length (ML in mm), the estimated mass (M in g) Hg concentrations were measured using an advanced mercury analyzer (LECO AMA-245) through thermal decomposition atomic absorption spectrometry, and d13C and d15N values using a continuous flow isotope ratio mass spectrometer .
