We generated transcriptional profiles of fasting-induced changes of in vivo hepatocytes using the INTACT methodology. Overall design: We subjected female HEP-INTACT mice to an overnight fast starting at the onset of the mouse active phase, ZT12, and after 16h livers were collected for INTACT followed by RNA-seq analyses of isolated hepatocytes. Ad libitum fed control mice were sacrificed at the same time point to account for diurnal variations in gene expression.
