The dataset includes the data acquired in my Mphil project “Development of a Novel Live but Defective Interfering Virus for Anti-Influenza Therapy”. This project aims at generating a safe and rationally-designed defective interfering virus as a novel therapeutic agent against influenza virus. The experimental data includes results for the SMRT sequencing of de novo defective interfering virus, establishment of virus-producing cell lines, reverse genetics of defective interfering virus and in vitro virus inhibition assay.
