Unemployment rate in French overseas regions 2020, by region and age

In 2020, the unemployment rate was higher in French Guiana than in the other overseas regions, particularly youth unemployment. In fact, more than 54 percent of Guianese between the ages of 15 and 24 were unemployed, compared to 45.2 percent in Martinique.The unemployment rate in the overseas regions tends to be much higher than in the regions of metropolitan France.
