Marine geophysical and seismic data from the UK continental shelf and adjacent deep water areas (1966-)

BGS hold analogue geophysical, seismic, side-scan and echo-sounder records. These data result from approximately 350,000 line kilometres of multi-instrument geophysical survey lines. The data were collected by BGS. The geophysical data consist of ship-borne gravity and magnetic records (the digital sets are listed separately) . The seismic data are mainly airgun, sparker, boomer and pinger records. The index data are held in digital form, along with water depth information (including multibeam data). Copies of the seismic and sonar records are available as scanned images and the results of more modern surveys are available digitally.
