Digital Archive from an Evaluation at Titchmarsh Lodge Solar Farm, Northamptonshire, 2023 to 2024

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, a report, GIS and site record data from an archaeological trial trenching evaluation by Wessex Archaeology. The work occurred on a 60-hectare parcel of land, divided into three fields and adjacent to Foxholes Farm, Roman Road, Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire from September 2023 to May 2024. A total of 129 trial trenches were opened and recorded, of which 41 contained archaeological features. The finds assemblage is small to moderate, with pottery and animal bone forming the main types of artefacts. The majority of the pottery recovered from the site is Late Iron Age/early Romano-British in date, suggesting that these features were in use during the 1st century BC to 1st century AD.
