VPRS 19237 By-Laws and Rules

This series comprises files of The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s (VA 1048) By-laws and rules. The By-Laws define the powers and responsibilities of the Board of Management, its sub-committees, office-bearers, the authority delegated to the senior staff and at various times, Life and Honorary Life Governors. Some files also include rules for medical and other staff, including medical appointments, patients, objectives, rules on meetings, use of the Seal and accounts. Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Melbourne Hospital Archives.
