The global incidence of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) is rising at an alarming rate, presenting a significant challenge to public health. Early intervention is critical for improving the quality of life for individuals affected by IGT and reduce the incidence of diabetes. The primary objective of this study was to identify key biomarkers associated with IGT in rats using transcriptomic analysis. Using bioinformatics techniques, transcriptome sequencing was performed on rat liver tissues to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between healthy and IGT rats. Our research findings aim to provide novel theoretical insights into the pathogenesis of IGT through transcriptome analysis and establish a theoretical foundation for identifying therapeutic targets for IGT.
