A study was conducted to investigate the effect of ecological restoration on soil microbial communities, with lakeside wetland changing from abandoned grassland (GL) to flower nursery land (FL), natural reed wetland (RL) and poplar plantation land (PL). Our findings suggest that ecological restoration of natural recovery and artificial plantation leads to more diverse of bacterial communities and soil nutrient enrichment that decreasing some bacterial groups with strong metabolic activities in oligotrophic environment. This provides us a insight to investigate the relationship between soil nutrient cycling and microorganism community composition along the restoration process of Chaohu Lake wetland.
