资源简介:
Geochemical datasets of sediment cores collected from Hola Trough, offshore the Vesterålen coast (northern Norway) during EMAN7 expedition in 2022. The sediment cores were collected via gravity coring (GC) and and ROV-guided push coring (PusC) and blade coring (BlaC) from the R/V Kronsprins Hakon. Gravity coring was conducted with a 6 m long steel barrel deployed which contains a PVC liner with an inner diameter of 10 cm. ROV-guided coring operations at the vent site were conducted with the ROV Ægir6000, a national facility that is operated by the Norwegian Marine Robotics Laboratory (NORMAR) at the University of Bergen (UiB). The push corers and blade corers are picked up from a compartment on the ROV by its manipulator arm and pushed into the seabed. Push cores are ~60 cm long and blade cores can reach a maximum depth of 32 cm below sea floor. Push cores and blade cores were sliced onboard every cm and samples were collected for carbon-nitrogen geochemistry (TOC, TNd, d13C_org, d15N_TNd), foraminifera geochemistry (d13C, d18O) and pore waters (dissolved sulfate concentration, dissolved inorganic carbon-DIC and d13C_DIC). Sampling locations are reported in the separate the Core_location.txt file.
