<p>We hypothesized that ocean acidification would cause bleaching as defined by decreased photochemical efficiency, reduced photosynthetic capacity and efficiency, depressed chlorophyll a content, and lowered <em>Symbiodinium</em> densities and that these effects would be exacerbated with high temperature.</p>
