Microbiome analysis of digested pig slurry, and anode biofilms of MFC. anaerobic digester metagenome

The main aim of this study is to assess the performance of a MFC operated in combination with a pig slurry thermophilic anaerobic digester (AD), as a system to overcome AD destabilization and inhibition periods due to organic and nitrogen overloads. Changes in the microbial composition of the MFC anode will be evaluated.
