This dataset originates from a quasi-experimental study conducted in a rural secondary school in Calamar, Bol\u00edvar (Colombia), aimed at evaluating the effects of a computational thinking-based pedagogical intervention on students\u2019 problem-solving skills. The dataset includes pre-test and post-test responses from tenth-grade students, divided into an experimental group and a control group. Three core dimensions were assessed: understanding of computational concepts, task execution, and evaluative capacity. The intervention consisted of six constructivist sessions using the MakeCode platform, conducted over three weeks. Each record includes anonymized demographic variables (gender, age, school shift), academic background, and individual scores for each problem-solving dimension. The dataset supports analyses of educational impact in low-resource environments and provides replicable evidence for implementing computational thinking strategies in rural schools. The data are structured for use in comparative educational research, policy evaluation, or pedagogical design.
